MyNiceHome VR Initiative

West Quarry @ Bukit Batok

2018

The MyNiceHome West Quarry project was to let the residents visualise their Built-To-Order (BTO) flats before their key collection. Methods for visualisation were the usage of 360° virtual tour, photographs, and Housing & Development Board (HDB)'s Virtual Reality Tool Application. West Quarry @ Bukit Batok offers 2-room Flexi, 3-room and 4-room flats.

I was in the team that used the HDB's Virtual Reality Tool Application and the West Quarry VR Initiative project was done by an intern programmer from Nanyang Polytechnic and an artist, which was me.

As the pioneer and only artist working in Housing & Development Board's Information Services Group, I was in-charge of creating all the 3D assets using the provided engineering plans and many photograph references from the site. I was also in-charge of the lighting within the scenes of the VR application.

Software used: Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Unity
